Day 1of3 training with Hampshire CIC for v-mentoring role. Intense and thoughtful with reflections on raising my own daughters. One of which is having a layover tonight in between flights - it’s been too many months since she was last here. Hugs to be had. 💕

Finally the flops and shorts are out of hibernation. Bit late to the party this year but nothing like air on those feet, legs and arms. HWB at its best.

When you go to the village post office and they ask what treats are in the box for my daughters this time. 🤣They know me so well! Gluten free banana, cinnamon and choc chip loaf.

Heartwarming moment: H1 and H2 tell me of a half marathon they are training for this coming September. The same one that was my last one before my spinal surgery (and no more running) in 2007. I will be at the finishing line for them as they were for me as teeny weenies. 💕💕

So many storms of recent times but I so love to see this tree out back still standing (I have - sort of - done the calculations that if it fell it wouldn’t hit the house!).

Fair to say, my heart sank when the Heathrow incident popped up on my laptop - all I saw was 'BA''. Glad of flightradar24, seeing H1's plane still circulating and explains her considerable delay in landing. The parent worry never ends.

Hump Wednesday and one of my co-workers is exhausted even on a short week. Meanwhile the other has been suspended and sent to her room for eating the post including a cheque!!

When you have to say goodbye to an amazing colleague through changes but she sends you flowers to make you smile. Going to miss working with her so much. 💕

What is so warming of this photo: other than it is one of my beautiful daughters’ - H1 in Cape Town wearing her great grandfather’s (my papa) St Christopher. She never takes it off. It was his 21st birthday present from his parents. He would have been 112 yrs so its 91 yrs old.

Recognising how hard it is for a few colleagues and friends moving on/leaving NHSE today but so lovely to have been able to have some informal catch-ups with them whilst I’m on leave. As the saying goes: we WILL meet again. In the meantime - some considerable losses for sure.
