Happy fifth birthday to Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption II, one of the most incredible achievements of the medium to date and an inspiring, impactful work of art which never fails to enthrall me even after five years and so many hours spent in its world. That's the way it is.

I'm not sure about the title, but Bloody Hell, directed by Alister Grierson and written by Robert Benjamin, is a brilliantly fun horror-comedy with plenty of surprising and laugh-out-loud moments and an excellent performance (well, two performances) by Ben O'Toole. Check it out.

A buff, powerful, half-naked maniac who runs around battering evildoers? It's the role I was born to play, baby! Hear my dulcet tones as they bring to life the Bucketlord, a new character added to Lords of the Fallen in the game's latest update.

I finally played Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, the third in a fantastic trilogy in terms of gameplay, level design, writing, visuals, and more. Arkane Studios created a fascinating world which still has so much potential for exploration and I hope they revisit it someday.

Here's to the memory of James McCaffrey, his iconic performance as Max Payne throughout that series has always been one of my favourites in the entire videogame medium, a brilliant and inseparable fusion of actor and character. youtube.com/watch?v=hQTKO3…

Incredible videos like this which showcase the game's level of polish and wealth of possibilities serve as a reminder that almost nine years on, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain arguably remains the pinnacle of the stealth-action genre. youtube.com/watch?v=aDD-ak…

If you're like me and love extended, unbroken shots in movies, you've got to hand it to the ambition of Crazy Samurai 400 vs 1, even if how the final result is achieved quickly becomes very obvious and downright comical. Flawed and absolutely repetitive, but worth a look.
