Proud to have worked with Senator Jeremy Cooney, Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright, and so many others to make our streets a little safer.

Great thoughts (and a fun ritual) from David G. Greenfield

Crazy. Alex Bores and I wrote and passed a law this year to require safety plans for these same risks and the tech and VC communities have been working overtime to stop Governor Kathy Hochul from signing it. Thereβs no need to spin the RAISE Act - Altman is making the case for us. π€―

Big news in our push for AI safety! Geoff Ralston, formerly of Y Combinator, endorses the RAISE Act sponsored by Alex Bores and I! This law requires companies developing the most powerful AI systems to create safety protocols to mitigate risk of catastrophic harms. No brainer.

Thanks to BlueDot Impact, AI Safety Awareness Project, and NYC AI Safety for a fantastic conversation on responsible AI governance and the RAISE Act. New Yorkers of all stripes β including those building AI startups β know we need basic rules of the road for AI development.

Great news: The New York City Council Zoning & Land Use Committees just voted in favor of the Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan! MSMX re-legalizes housing in the heart of Manhattan, delivering nearly 10,000 homes & helping create a more vibrant neighborhood. Final step: full New York City Council vote!

Kicking off the 43rd Annual Dominican Day Parade with Adriano Espaillat breakfast β a celebration of Dominican culture, heritage, and pride. π©π΄ Congratulations to this yearβs honorees Randi Weingarten πΊπΈβππͺπΏπ©βππ£πΊπ¦, Caramelo, Katharine Pichardo, Junior Martinez, Sharase Debouse, and Grand Marshal

Great to spread some Friday joy with a special guest, Democrat nominee for City Council Virginia Maloney . I'm excited to work with Virginia; we all do better when the City and State work together.
