This 100%. In 10-20 years everyone will be remodeling to add room dividers and wondering why we ever wanted to see the kitchen mess from all angles.

Not sure which details in Mike Lindell's video statement are more cringe-worthy: "I run my entire business with my cell phone" or "Hardee's drive-thru in Mankato". Jesus wept.

Good advice here. These calls can be stressful for trainees, but with a little prep ahead of time you can make sure the info is conveyed well.

This tweet, and it's replies...{chef's kiss}. I don't think I can top any of this. But since that clearly doesn't stop anyone at Oscar Mayer... Black licorice is a laxative. You've been warned.

Him, in Boston: "Isn't it nice to be coming home for residency?" (repeats x2 when I don't engage) Me: "I was born in Nebraska." Him: "Oh. (long pause) I thought the "NE" in your birthplace stood for New England." Me (internally): ...and they think Midwesterners are too insular...

Hey Minneapolis Public Schools I get that everyone wants to put COVID behind us, but please send better advice about a school-wide respiratory outbreak. 1. Masking mentioned only after less helpful strategies 2. COVID and flu vax not mentioned 3. mnhealth data show RSV more likely than flu

My 3rd grader said that 17 of her 30 classmates were there today. She was 1 of 2 with a mask. Friend in a different room said attendance was 13/~30. No idea if this is RSV, flu, COVID, or a combo. We’re 3 years into a respiratory virus pandemic and have learned nothing.

Back in my day, they were also (gasp) your internet connection. (Channeling my mother, talking to an incredulous me in ~1999, explaining how all 40 women on her floor shared one phone located in the hallway)

It's time for the best PG course at #ATS2023 a Hands-on Introduction to the Microbiome, great programme put together by Alexa Pragman Leopoldo Segal and Robert Dickson who is kicking off with "how to think about the respiratory microbiome"

Out now at ERJ Open Research: tinyurl.com/4r7s7ku4 Even during exacerbation-free periods, the COPD frequent exacerbator phenotype is associated with decreased sputum microbiome α-diversity and increased β-diversity. Low sputum α-diversity is associated with lung inflammation.

Happy to say our latest article is published! We found that tobacco use, professional dental cleaning habits, and lung adenocarcinoma are associated with lung and bronchial microbiome diversity and composition. link.springer.com/10.1186/s12931…
