It's almost unbelievable how bad today's incomes data is - slightly worried it's going to be lost under the (understandable) virus focus. Poorer families lost 7% of their incomes over the last 2 years - hugely important and hugely grim.

The RCPCH #StateOfChildHealth is always such a forensic deep dive into everything affecting children across the UK. Great to see their hard work laid out in this thread👇 and to hear loud & clear: address health inequalities ⚖️, fund public health 💷 & join up services 🤝

NEW: Government to provide £3.2 million of emergency funding to help rough sleepers to self-isolate. Councils will be reimbursed for the cost of providing accommodation and services to homeless. (Does make you wonder why we can't afford to house people in regular times).

Today is my birthday 🥳 👎 Coronavirus means we’ve had to cancel all our plans. 👍 The whole nation is singing me happy birthday, twice, on repeat all day.

Today the Government is due to announce measures to assist individuals in these uncertain and unprecedented times. At JRF we believe the following actions would help, particularly for people caught in poverty's grip. #coronavirus

Brilliant work done this wk by Resolution Foundation Trades Union Congress & others and this is what we'd like to see from Chancellor. May need boost to Attendance Allowance & Carers leave too - this crisis isn't just affecting paid workers.

The spread of coronavirus has shown us that we’re only as strong as our most vulnerable. Now is the moment to make the argument for more global collaboration, not less. See the full virtual Chatham House speech at youtube.com/watch?v=_4L7aU…

Such a clear thread about why it’s never been more important to give the charity sector the support - and the recognition - it deserves.👇 Hope the government is listening. #EveryDayCounts

It’s great to clap our care workers. It’s even better to pay them properly. Around half get less than the Living Wage theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
