There’s a trickle of aid going into Gaza right now, as the population faces imminent famine. There needs to be a deluge. For every hour that the war goes on, the desperate need increases.

I spoke to Alex Wagner Tonight about the situation on the ground and the work of IRC - International Rescue Committee:

IRC's reaction to the recent attacks in southern #Lebanon .

Since 2004, the IRC has supported Sudanese refugees and host communities in Chad with healthcare, nutrition, sanitation and a range of other services.

When the conflict in Sudan escalated in 2023, the IRC ramped up its support, in part thanks to funding from Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.

Today @AndrewMitchMP visited our Women’s Centre in Ambelia transit site in eastern Chad, which offers support to people fleeing conflict in Sudan who have experienced gender-based violence, as well as opportunities for women and girls to connect and take part in skills workshops.

“More than 10 months on, it is past time that the bravery of the Sudanese people is matched by the concrete actions of the international community.”
