You might be wondering how the Meta news ban in Canada is impacting evacuees and their loved ones in the Northwest Territories. I spoke to some experts and residents on the impact of the ban: bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-…

I don’t understand the hate people have for homeless people or addicts. I always think of how they were once kids with dreams and most likely still do. They definitely never imagined their life that way or truly want to live like that. Have some compassion and give a few dollars.

No immigrant has taken your job. You were laid off by a capitalist who required cheap labor and took advantage of that immigrant to increase his profits, and nothing makes him happier than to hear you blame the immigrant and not him.

Whenever you hear about the provincial surplus in Alberta remember to take a look at the suffering in our City streets in the form of addictions, mental health, & homelessness. One can only hope the province is ready to reveal a plan to address this needless human misery.

Want to reduce suicides? Reduce poverty. Want to reduce crime? Reduce poverty. Want to reduce addiction? Reduce poverty. Want to reduce domestic abuse? Reduce poverty. Want to reduce just about any unsolvable issue in society? Reduce poverty.

Alberta, our govt has just quietly let foreign coal-co Northback/Benga REAPPLY for coal & water rights @ Grassy Mtn, headwaters of Oldman watershed in a critical drought. They'll take drinking & ag H2O, ruin the rest & leave us a huge $$ mess. Info: surl.li/ltvtd Pls RT

All Albertans who are concerned about our water during drought and about fiscal conservatism should use this and submit a Statement of Concern to the provider govt. CC the premier, Brian Jean, Rebecca Schultz and your MLA. Cleanup is gonna cost us a TON of $$ in future.

ACanadianforDemocracy🇨🇦 travellingthisworld (travelworld.bsky.social) Barbara Larochelle You can certainly write an email to the Premier’s office and the Minister of Finance. You can also call those offices. You will talk to staff, so be kind, but the calls are logged and part of monthly reporting on what’s coming through the door of govt, so to speak.

Shannon’s right. Carlson’s been a loud promoter of “Great Replacement Theory” & other white nationalist ideas. Not someone the Premier of a diverse province should be giving time, particularly at a time of rising antisemitism & Islamophobia. adl.org/resources/blog… #ableg

Some of the scenes I witnessed last night in Edmonton at various warming centres, shelters & encampments of the unhoused community. This doesn’t even portray the severity of the situation. I was shocked at how many encampments there are. There were volunteers with Bear Claw

.Danielle Smith While you’re trying to distract Albertans with a culture war on children, let’s see what you failed to deal with: ❌Skyrocketing rent ❌Homelessness ❌Rising food cost ❌Emergency Rooms crisis ❌No family doctors ❌Drought ❌Electricity supply #ableg
