Senseless loss. There is just no other words to describe the heartbreak in Colorado and last week in Atlanta. Our thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives, including the Boulder Police Department officer who made the ultimate sacrifice for his community.

Albany Police Investigating Suspicious Death- Last night, 2/25/22 AFD & APD responded to the 500 block of 26th Ave locating a deceased 75 year old male, Elvin Pierce. If you have info or had recent contact with Elvin “Al” Pierce please contact Lt. Buck Pearce at 541-917-3209.

In the evening of 9/5/23 officers were dispatched to Simpson Park for a stabbing. The suspect had left but was located a short time later and arrested. Jefferson W Davis, 41, is being held on Assault 2 and other charges. The victim was treated at an area hospital

APD Investigates Fatal Double Shooting that occurred Saturday, 9/30, on Washington Street. Upon arrival officers heard a disturbance and gunshots inside the home. Officers located a male had fatally shot his girlfriend and then took his own life. Investigation continues.

Yesterday the APD received a 911 call that a 3 year old child was found face down in a pool at a home in Albany. The mother, Kristen Brooks, 30 years old, was arrested for Att. Aggravated Murder and Crim. Mistreatment 1st degree and lodged in jail. Child is in critical cond.
