Rarely learnt so much from a paper than I just have reading this one: academic.oup.com/aje/article/18… We quite rightly obsess over internal validity, but this paper argues really clearly why we need to consider external validity more if we want evidence to be useful to decision-makers.

Just re-upping this tip because it slipped my mind and it has saved me approximately 3 hours of scrolling today ....
