Some playing, a bit of coaching, and a few years as a referee/supervisor on the pro tennis tour. But tomorrow is much more interesting!

So, no Wimbledon tie but the red cap is back again for the presentation. The agents and sponsor will undoubtedly ensure there’s a small profit for wearing it.

One day after winning Wimbledon 2022 Novak slips to number 7 in the ATP rankings. Meanwhile Roger is now unranked. A top seeded player could now face Federer in the first round and Djokovic in the quarters. It doesn’t feel right.

50 years on from playing against each other in 1972 Dave Orchard, Mike Francis, Dennis Archer and I still love County Week enough to come to watch the current generation of Bucks and Derbys players in a 2022 repeat.

Loved watching Derbyshire Men at Cheltenham at County Week despite the end result. What a great event it is. Looking forward to next year already 👍

I enjoyed seeing three K’s together in the same match on the telly last evening - Khachanov, Kyrgios and KEOTHAVONG. Well done James!

Ash Barty is such a class act. So respectful and humble in accepting the Newcombe medal in Australia once again. But we’re used to that from her. #tennis #ChampionshipPoints

The tennis exhibitions in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Dubai keep the Middle East in the sporting spotlight after Qatar’s bit of a do recently. But it’s only lucrative practice sessions for the few to prepare for the upcoming Aussie Open. #ChampionshipPoints

I have so many memories of Pele, without doubt the best footballer I ever played against (with Bobby Moore being the best footballer I ever played alongside). For me Pele remains the greatest of all time and I was proud to be on the the pitch with him. RIP Pele and thank you.

There’s much to like about the new ATP/WTA United Cup. I hope it gets established as there’s a place for a mixed team competition IMO. The doubles needs elevating up the schedule though. As the 5th match many times it will be irrelevant

I love crossing the road in Vietnam. Take small children (and wives! 😂) firmly by the hand, walk slowly without stopping, and the bikes and cars just drift either side of you like water around a stone. It’s great fun! 😂

Not familiar yet with the name of Jack Draper? You might be soon after this really tasty first round draw v Rafa Nadal at the AO. Berrettini v Murray is another absolute show stopper.
