I was able to organize alongside some phenomenal people to pull off an action that brought in over 1,300 ethics complaints against Jacob Frey. There was no institution at the front. No grifters. Just mpls residents: youth, clergy, elders, artists, mama’s. This eases the grief.

One of my favorite things for hymns: play the hymn straight, then replace the V7 lead-in chord with something spicy and watch the congregation's face as their brain tries to process. Today's was a tritone sub with M7 and #11.

I tend to fool around on my phone during memorial services. It seems disrespectful, but I find that if I don't distract myself from what's going on in the room, all the grief and tender emotions make my playing/singing go downhill, and I don't do a good job for the family.
