There is ALWAYS hope.
God is always near
Love thy enemies, as thyself.
Forgive me LORD
for all I have wronged
Forgive them LORD, for they know not what they do

Ireland Votes Galway Advertiser Smart. It makes sense. It also makes sense for an electoral pact between Independent Ireland and Aontú in Galway West. If Aontú had transferred even 50% of their roughly 2% vote in Galway West in 2024, Cllr Noel Thomas (Independent Ireland) likely takes the final seat instead of

Completely agree. Currently a seat cap will only rapidly draw seats from rural Ireland as Dublin's population inevitably grows faster than that of rural counties.

Very well-written letter by Sandra Adams in today’s I.Times. The reason why Irish schools aren’t secularising at pace is because many parents want a ‘Catholic ethos’. Fintan O’Toole also admits this in his (admirable) book on united Ireland (with S.McBride).

NEW POLL FROM IRELAND'S MOST ACCURATE POLLSTER RED C The Fianna Fáil number is just astonishing! It's hard to see Martin holding on for much longer. For context, Fianna Fáil's worst ever result was 17.4% in 2011. Ireland had 14.7% unemployment, and the highest emigration rate

Up six points since the General Election. More than any other party in the country. 6 points ahead of Fine Gael. A whopping 8 points ahead of Fianna Fáil, but Daniel Murray from the Business Post says Sinn Féin is in trouble. Irish media, folks 😂

I mean, his dad/ grandad/ uncle is probably a councillor/ TD in FF, like every other Fianna Fáil candidate chosen since time immemorial. Fianna Fáil is hardly a meritocracy, the young man could be wanted by the Hague and get the nomimation if he had the right connections
