I just spoke to a friend who had been in the Navy when he was younger. He had just gotten off the phone with a buddy that is a military contractor. The military contractor told him "We've just been hired to move tanks to the Canadian border."

More info: the contractor usually gets a few months' notice of transportation needs. This time it was 4 days - th first time he's seen this in 15 yrs. There are 40 tanks involved, originating in Washington state, and moving "to the border". My guess would be the Alberta border.
