How are the CEDH players holding up? Y'all ok?

After the initial shock, we're excited and curious about the new cEDH meta after these bans. Marath is still a fun fringe deck. Sisay still does Sisay things. Ob Nix still pinging. It's sad to see some decks die, but we've lived through that before and the format was fine.

It's funny to see so many people say "rule zero." Even discounting that I think Commander has outgrown rule zero (it's great for playgroups, but imo bad for games with strangers which are becoming more and more common), can't you just rule zero in the banned cards?

New deck power grading scale dropped

If you’re not building and playing heavily themed decks, then you’re missing out. Every deck feels fresh and, most importantly, different. Stop playing “staples” and start playing fun limited cards instead!

Let’s hope the bans stick. I’d hate to reward unacceptable behavior. It should have never come to this. Thank you to the RC for all they’ve done over the years.

I disagreed with the Commander RC quite often, but I never doubted that they were trying to do what they thought best for the format. I don't have this same confidence with Wizards in charge. Their job is to make money. Period.

Played a dozen+ games with "strangers" as well as games with friends at Commanfest London - and in spite of the ban's coming up in conversation alot - we had good, fun and exciting games of Commander. It's alive. "The format is dead" is a silly statement. Play games. Have fun.
