Well that signs off October 2023. 54 seems a good age for me. Ran every day. A park run pb (19:47), a marathon pb (3:19:40) and now done 11 Parkrun volunteering sessions (25 t-shirt, eyes on the prize). November, here we come!

That was brutal. First cross country for nearly 20 years and my first time in Horwich RMI Harriers vest. Thanks to everyone for the welcome. Great fun.

Back on it. Entered a 10k in 7 weeks time. Up and out early this morning. 5x1 mile intervals. Good to be back in a routine. I have been drifting.

Thanks to all the North Bolton Runners runners who organised and marshalled our club race yesterday. Andrew C., I really did need that encouragement at the top of that hill!! Great fun. Lots of laughs in the mud and rain.

20 miles this morning. Last long run before Manchester Marathon. Nice to join in with nephew and nieces’ Easter breakfast at half way point. Very convenient pit stop. I wonder if they could do the same on race day.
