This year #Juneteenth falls at a crucial time in our nation’s history. Participating in the Denver Juneteenth Parade is a tradition for Aurora Fire Rescue and we’re glad the organizers could hold the event virtually. Thanks to the AFR members who joined the #FreedomDay celebration.

#Wildfires continue to impact communities across the western states. Our members are deploying to provide aid to those in need. Proud of their dedication to help in all circumstances.

This week Aurora Fire Rescue celebrated the completion of Camp Spark for local young women ages 12-18. I applaud the many women and men of the department who committed their time and talents to create a memorable experience for these local teens.

This loss has a profound impact on our agency. We offer our collective condolences during this very difficult time. His contributions to Aurora Fire Rescue are lasting, and his legacy continues on through many of our members.

I want to commend the quick & heroic actions of our AFR members who rescued 3 ppl this afternoon. They forced a door to gain quick access, and provided quality medical care right away. We know many were impacted by today’s apartment fire & our thoughts are with them tonight.

Despite the courageous and professional efforts of our members, our community has suffered a tragic loss and the entire Aurora Fire Rescue family is deeply saddened by this incident.
