Her head throbs, with visions of rusted moons and blood dripping from stone alters, backed by a choir of chants in a language old and near forgotten. They’re incessant, and have been ever since she laid eyes upon the red moon outside. She only hopes the visions end soon.

“Urianger truly is beautiful, is he not?” A statement spoken with nothing but wonder.

“Well, I would also imagine that astrologian cards wouldn’t be anything you would want to consume...” A pause, curiosity overwhelming, as she slides a card from a star globe she meant to turn in to her free company, biting down on the corner of it. “... Mm. No. Gross.”

“But, now no one else will attempt it, so I like to consider myself a line of defense against even bolder acts of impulsivity.” The bitten-off piece is pulled out of her mouth and tossed into the bin beside her. She’ll have to get the taste of ink out of her mouth.

“I can always purchase another set of cards and enchant them myself if I ever took to the art.” A tilt to her head comes with a frown. “Ufrianne. I’m alright, I promise you.”

Oh. Bless Ufrianne’s heart. She’d pat the top of her head if she could reach, but a reassuring smile is hopefully enough.
