I think the notion of “Aerith is dead so …” is very interesting to me because story/writing wise, A as a character is very much alive. Post OG they wrote novellas from her POV and she even shows up in AC. They only removed her physical form but made sure she stayed spiritually

I initially got Red as my gondola date (but did the 1st date with Aerith) and I was kinda mad about it 😭 not knowing I missed some A side quests I accepted defeat and chose to see it as a date with my dog and Red’s date is actually super cute, wholesome, and clerith coded 🥹🌼

I like to think my words hold some weight when I say this due to my experience in game dev but mocap actors are ACTORS they are not the characters themselves. Just like how Hollywood actors are not the fictional characters that they play.
