I’m glad the pay grade discrepancies between Biochemists and MedSci are being addressed. We also need to look at progression options for MLAs - expectation of covering 1000hrs training additional to working full time (37hrs/wk) is not fair.

I could EASILY become a Biochemist and take advantage of these advanced career pathways w/ my qualifications. However, My interest lies in Histology where there are no Biochems employed, and so I’m stuck being an overqualified and under-utilised MLA. CORU Ireland ditch 1000hrs.
