Britain is back in business.

The Tories said deals couldn’t be done. They just meant they couldn’t do them. My Labour government got on with the job and secured three in two weeks. We will always put British people first.

You know how it goes: all you want to do is start your holiday, but you get off the plane to never-ending queues at passport control. My deal with the EU means more Brits will be able to sail through the e-Gates instead. Getting you to the beach sooner.

Yesterday, Israel allowed only 5 aid trucks to enter Gaza. 5 trucks for over 2m people – more than Northern Ireland’s entire population. The weaponisation of food is morally reprehensible. We must impose an arms embargo and sanction the Israeli officials that are responsible.

Bills down, jobs up. Our deal with the EU delivers for working people.

Today David Lammy suspended trade negotiations with Israel, imposed new sanctions on settlers and defended the UN Aid Plan for Gaza. I spoke with Hamish Falconer MP, the Minister for the Middle East, after he had summoned the Israeli ambassador to convey this message.

Today, I joined a huge lobby of Parliament, led by disabled people, against the proposed cuts to disability support. I made clear once again: these cuts are cruel and unjustifiable and must be dropped. If the Government refuses to drop them, I will vote against them.

Once more I have called upon the government to set a deadline by which Israel must allow aid through to Gaza or failing the deadline being met, the government work with other countries to deliver the aid directly ourselves by sea & air.
