It’s good to be back out in the countryside, after Thursdays #LocalElections2025. It’s going to be an interesting but I’m sure challenging four years ahead!

Hopefully it’s not the case, but I’m starting to think I might be the only active #Cornish farmer left on #Cornwall Council. It’s becoming clear our identity and true understanding of rural issues is becoming watered down as our representation lessens!

Dear Keir Starmer I have, along with many farmers, felt out of sorts, poorly, exhausted, since Rachel Reeves budget in October. We are desperate, We do our day job feeding people then we lobby at night, this isn’t sustainable and has a huge effect on our #mentalhealth

Off to the Full Council AGM this morning to set out who will be the Chairman and Leader of #Cornwall Council. I’m hoping there’s not going to be too much bull to listen to, but that could be wishful thinking!!

Excuse the f bombs but the audacity of Steve Reed MP suggesting farmers need to cut their costs (their own money) when he’s made a career of spending other peoples’ (mine and your) money, his party literally spaffing £ up the wall is deplorable #AxeTheFamilyFarmTax

I feel privileged to have seen this #PSG side playing at the Emirate’s last month. It was clear to me then that the way they passed and moved made them a special side. By far the best team in #Europe this season and deserved #ChampionsLeagueFinal #Winners!
