I don't think there is any other country where legitimate government grants Police extra powers and Police unanimously responds with: "No thanks, we'll be adhering to the Constitution even in times of crisis". Only in Canada 🇨🇦 #veryproud 💙💙💙

I know someone will point out past violations from mistakes and structural and systemic issues, not that naive. Someone will even call police response a PR stunt but I still find it fascinating. We can celebrate progress despite past errors, can't we?!

Classic bike!!! Great observations from Cst. Seb Lemay Register your bikes folks! They have become hot commodity during the pandemic...and less volatile than cryptocurrency.

A very important essay by Jonathan Haidt about the damage social media is doing to us: "Thanks to enhanced-virality social media, dissent is punished within many of our institutions, which means that bad ideas get elevated into official policy." theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…

These are some of the calls waiting in the queue this rainy Tuesday evening in West Division...this is not even an anomaly! Want to know the easiest way to "defund"police?! Have people stop asking for police.
