I’m going to give you a piece of advice that will keep you on the court more than almost anything else…. Rebound. I don’t mean just when the opportunity arises. I don’t mean when it falls in your hands. I mean go after every rebound with intensity, aggression, & purpose. Make

PLAYERS: The playing time you want during your season is often earned by what you do in the off-season.

The difference between interested & invested players shows in the summer. Interested players need perfect circumstances(too hot/cold, no music, too busy). Invested players just need a place to work & get better (gym, track, weight room) & they do. How do you use your off-season?!

Coaches aren’t in the business of begging players to get in the gym/go to camps, but if you don’t, then don’t come later looking for playing time. It doesn’t work that way. Players get playing time by earning it. If you don’t earn it, save yourself the trouble of wishing for it!

You can have all the talent in the world, but if you don’t have a fire burning inside you, there’s no fuel for it. Be passionate in what you do/love. If there’s no passion, don’t pursue it. Talent only gives as good as it gets. If you have nothing to put in, you get nothing back!
