Great video to emulate here ✅Lindor getting slightly to the right of the ball to read hops ✅Staying staggered (feet) to give him adjustability w/ his L foot!! ✅Also notice how quiet his glove is throughout the GB (little movement) #STdrills

A6. One of my favorite things we do is our no defense BP. Got this from Clemson years ago. All the hitters are at bases, you go 1 swing and play it live. Read the ball as the runner, put situations in to it such as inning/score/etc. Gotta get those RBI's. #DugoutChatter

Pitching 101: • FB command • Competitiveness • Conviction • Feel for off speed • Repeatable delivery • Tempo • Clean arm path • How they attack hitters • Composure • Control the running game? • Back up bases? • Field position? Things I look for in amateur arms.

Stand up blocking. Not every blocking form is two knees down hands tucked into the 5 hole. Play the ball, don’t let it play you. Tyler Stephenson - Cincinnati Reds #catchers #catching

Your results today are not a product of the work you put in today. They are a product of the work you put in the past. You won’t see the results from today’s work until later down the road

Top of the 9th. Orioles 4, Red Sox 3. Runners on 1st and 3rd, 1 out. Dalbec beats out potential game ending DP. Run scores. Tie game. Game goes to extra innings. Sox win. Contact matters. Hustle matters.

Correct mechanics are essential for accuracy & injury prevention. As stride foot hits ground, we call that "foot strike," most elite throwing catchers have common body position check points. By the way, had a cancel for Houston camp next weekend. Let me know if interested.

Work before play. The separation is in the preparation. Create a routine - your routine. What’s going to get your mind ready to perform at your top speed. Ben Rortvedt - Minnesota Twins #catching #catchers

Tag play fundamentals: 1. Keep mask on 2. Start in front of plate, 3. Adjust to throw 4. Use left leg to stop sliding runner 5. Tag w/ 2 hands to protect ball (sometimes a 1 hand tag is best) 7. Get back to feet in case runner is trying to advance He gone! #thelifeofacatcher

How simple is this footwork by the Cubs PJ Higgins. Right behind left & left to the target. Really not gaining ground. It more about quick alignment to ready you to throw & get the ball airborne in a hurry while still being in efficient throwing position.

🔑 to receiving success: 1 Be on time (mitt moving toward k-zone during reception) 2 Move ball (sticking isn’t wrong, moving is better) 3 Give ump consistent look (mitt position & move we make) 4 Pocket ball (easier to manipulate & sounds) THIS was textbook! #thelifeofacatcher

Nice “effortless effort” throwing reps with really good direction. The challenge is to be able to replicate this on tougher random pitches at game speed.

To get noticed, give maximum effort… even when you're exhausted. To get noticed, play with poise… even when things don't go your way. To get noticed, be a great teammate… even when they make a mistake. To get noticed, make a difference… even when you're not at your best.
