One of nearly ten textured or coloured pieces I am working in at the moment. Always loved Raku ceramics and if I had space I’d be doing that too 🙂 the effects of Raku however offer many options of exploration for painterly effects. Some more shading to add and colour to finish.

It’s small turnings that show the greatest tool control here I’m turning the stems for a batch of pocket watch stands, these ones have a glass dome and are quite popular. The turning is shown at 3 and half x speed
