Did you know that 1/3 of ACT Math is Geometry?? This can be difficult bc there is no formula sheet. To improve, students can memorize some basic formulas/terms, but they must also learn when to move on & not waste time. Today’s skill: #donowdolaterdonever #knoworgo #actprep

Well, today’s our last day of Summer ACT Prep! It’s been a great week, & we’ve packed in a lot..but this is the one piece of advice they’ll remember best since it involves candy! 😂 #actprep #motivation (really, is there any better advice than “don’t be a dum dum??”)

The first thing I did as a teacher and an administrator was to listen. I couldn't learn anything to build relationships with students or staff by talking, but I had to listen to their stories. Then I could start building relationships and serving them.

Teachers don't teach for test scores, but to impact a child's life. We want children that are prepared for the tests of life, not a life of testing.

ACT Prep Day! Working on reaching benchmark scores!! Did you know that the college readiness benchmarks only require our kids to get about HALF of the answers right?!?! 50% is absolutely attainable for ANY student of ANY ability level!!

I ❤️ ACT Prep! I love seeing those 💡 moments when they realize this is really easy!

Spent some time today sharing some ACT tips with a sister school in our district. Only about 20% of LA students meet the benchmark score for math! We can do better!!
