Sure it’s just calculated but pleasing for 58 year old. Key is never in life get too far out of shape and then loosely follow the running guidelines of Steve Magness lots of easy but some harder stuff too and on occasion a conversation with God.

I see too many people stuck in this doom loop of multiple surgeries and awful rehab. Ex: ACLR, then scope for PMM, then transplant... now considering HTO--> reason for referral to me. But... they had no quads... couldn't balance on one leg, no dynamic stability, movement

A 53yo triathlete took 12 weeks off training and his VO2max dropped 10%, the equivalent of 15 years of aging. Then he resumed training, and 12 weeks later his VO2max was 5% *higher* than baseline. A neat case study with interesting muscle biopsy data: outsideonline.com/health/trainin…

By the time February gets here college coaches should not be complaining that their teams are soft and won’t play defense. You recruited them and have been coaching them everyday for months now. Maybe you Coach need to check yourself as you are likely part of the problem

Michael Jordan is insanely competitive But he didn't win his 1st championship until his 7th year when Phil Jackson started coaching The Zen balanced out the competitiveness just enough Greatness is balancing contrasts so they don't destroy us. 4 Key Contrasts for greatness:

I’ve been a surgeon for over 30 years… There are many lessons that I’ve learned: Rehab works… more often than you think. Surgery Helps Less Than You Think—But Rehab Helps More After three decades in the operating room, I’ve come to a surprising conclusion—one I wish more
