There's a LOTTA friendships present in the WIP Lyric's mission in life is to befriend as many people as he can - so that comes up a LOT i love playing with the different kinds of friendships that can be, from sibling-like to mentor-like to bonded-by-everything-but-blood and more

Making a big ask at work tomorrow in a meeting. Prayers that I at least get heard, and that there’s willingness on all sides to work towards a solution even if it ends up not being the solution I want most. Thank you!

Pitched a talk on Pathways to Sainthood based on the lives of Thomases “Apostle, Aquinas, & More!” Everyone wanted to know what I meant by “more” and I was like. 🤦‍♀️ (But I think I’m doing it and it’s gonna be good)

God is GOOD and his mercies are infinite this went as well as I could have wanted. I was heard, my solution not thrown out the window but seen as reasonable, and we're gonna keep on having discussion about steps to take to make it a reality.

I COULD start a rewatch of FullmetalAlchemist: Brotherhood in preparation of the FMAB bookclub I'm participating in later this year... Or I could read more of Aquinas' Commentary on the Gospel of Matthew (Lenten reading) the fact that these are both equally compelling says a lot

Accidentally started a bookclub amongst three of my volunteers tonight They’re all gonna read Orthodoxy together I gave one of them a copy and next thing I knew two others wanted them too 😂 Love my nerdy team.

We had a conversation in staff meeting about children's dismissal at Mass How we stopped doing that and don't want to start it up again But people ask for it! So now we're brainstorming ways to better educate on the importance of and empower families to attend Mass together

I believe I've given out (personally and through work - which is really just an avenue for me to give out my fave Catholic books) over 100 copies of Orthodoxy by Chesterton

Catherine Brewssword (@acatholicgeek) 's Twitter Profile Photo

What if, after my volunteers finish their unofficial bookclub of Orthodoxy I started an official one for us to work through books like 'The Great Divorce' and 'Introduction to the Devout Life' together I think that'd be fun

one day I'd love to learn why it is that my middle school youth group is almost exclusively girls (and has been for a while) while high school youth group is easily 80% boys (and has been since it started) nothing better or worse in either case, just interesting to observe

Every no and then I have a reason to pull out my business school fits again and I strongly consider adding them back into my regular routine

I don’t think I have the energy to lead seminars for 4 hours this afternoon So we’ll do meals and intro the Eucharist and then I’ll lead my classes to the chapel for adoration for the rest of time

modern society rejects the idea of lust as a sin and so modern romances are forced to seek darker and more sinful urges in a desperate attempt to restore the tension of temptation but then modernity rejects the idea of those urges as sins and the cycle continues send tweet

The acoustics in our activity center are phenomenal I take advantage of this when I’m alone in there setting up or cleaning up But this evening I apparently wasn’t as alone as I thought At least my volunteer who arrived early thought I sounded good?

So for my last seminar only two people showed up A married couple they got an adoration date night and I think that's the best outcome
