Since the change of leadership, why have MCB got themselves involved in Fiqh matters, particularly pertaining to our Masjids? We have Mashayikh and Muftis. Stop with the simplistic social media posts. Know your role, otherwise you risk losing the grassroots support you do have

The message of Eid today was simple: We spent Ramadan diversifying and intensifying our deeds, such that we'd hope to enter Jannah through the 8 gates. After Ramadan, if not all the gates, maintain a degree of piety that would get us entry through at least 1 gate

These martyrs go to Jannah, so I worry not about them, but about us, who watch on and do nothing. We carry on with our lives as if these people have nothing to do with us. We have a lot of soul-searching to do. Allah forgive our weakness

Allah won't ask you about what your friends did, but about what YOU did. Allah does not judge on the impact or the outcome of your actions, but on your intentions, your bravery, your persistence, your effort. Losing hope isn't an option. We keep going, keep trying

Many of us will pray in our time of need, alhamdulillah, super. Then Allah will fulfil that need for us. How many of us in our happiness will remember to pray 2 rakats for Shukr (gratitude) - or are we just customers at Allah's door, as if we're somehow entitled to his treasures?

After much thought, some reflections: - Pride that we value Deen enough to pay so much - Value your local Ulama. Pay them as well as you pay your guests - Stop worshipping celebrities - 5k surely only for ticketed events - But imagine we invested our money back into our community

قال سيدنا رسول الله: «ومن مشى مع مظلومٍ حتى يُثْبِتَ له حقَّه؛ ثبَّت اللهُ قدمَيه على الصِّراطِ يومَ تزولُ الأقدامُ» “Whoever walks with the oppressed to establish his right, Allah will make his feet firm on the Ṣirāṭ on the Day when feet will slip.” (At-Targheeb - Hasan)

Never felt like this even after my mum passed away young. We have lost our best friends, Akeel and Hannaa, and their beautiful daughter Sara in the Ahmedabad tragedy. So many things going through our minds. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon. Just heartbroken, devastated

This is a very important clarification from Akeel, Hannaa and Sara's family. Please wait for me to upload or share any fundraiser before committing your money to it. Anything I share will be done only after our family have approved of it

news.sky.com/story/we-feel-… The British Government has failed us. Instead of being allowed to grieve, we’ve been forced to scramble for basic information about our loved ones. With no communication, no presence, and no plan, we’ve been left utterly alone in our darkest hour Sky News

Abdullah (@abusulaym94) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Allah gives, Allah takes, Allah makes no mistakes We accept the decree of Allah, but the heart remains grieved. Prophet Ayub alayhis salam's eyes turned white with grief. The Prophet alayhis salam cried at the deaths in his family. But we only say what pleases our Rabb

Abdullah (@abusulaym94) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Isn't it wild how some people's feelings are more precious than children actually starving to death? Quote actual genocidal rhetoric spewed by your political leaders: How dare you Take me to the brink of death by depriving me of food, medicine, and basic needs: Get over it

Abdullah (@abusulaym94) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Honestly, the biggest thing Masjids can do to help you concentrate in Salah is not have nice carpet or a fancy TV. It's removing the stupid digital countdown for salah and with it, remove the digital clocks which shows seconds. Got people counting the Imam's every tasbih. Get rid

Abdullah (@abusulaym94) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The first Israel-type gaslighting I found in the Qur'an is from Fir'awn, the mass murderer of children, trying to lecture Prophet Musa alayhis salam, "And you did what you did, and you are so ungrateful", referring to the accidental killing. How the child killers are so blind

The attraction and peril of "unique" opinions, with a focus on Imran Hosein. He has been named here because of his admission that those who consider his strange views to be clear misguidance, should warn others. This piece is a warning. Read here: medium.com/@AbuSulaym/the…
