We recently paid a visit to the Boston Lodge works of Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways. Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways is the world’s oldest narrow gauge railway. The David Lloyd George Double Fairlie locomotive pictured was completed at the works in 1992. #HeritageRail

First experience of a class 755 "Flirt" today. What an impressive product. Comfortable, well laid out, good ride, great acceleration on diesel, level boarding, low engine noise; and if (if) the rest of the network gets wired up, the diesel traction module can simply be ditched!
