Free or paid Framer templates? Seems there's merit to both (given the insane 50% affiliate program), but curious what the consensus is these days.

Thankful for Framer University's "Layout Jump Preventer" component that makes accordions super smooth... Framer should just make it a standard feature. 👀 (lil teaser of template submission no. 2—fingers crossed!)

Tried working w/ Safari today instead of Arc (for science)... I think my brain is broken re: sidebar browsing and will never recover. All the little bells & whistles / small features in Arc make Safari feel a million years old.

Observation: Early Arc superusers were charitable about the bumpy process of supporting a new tool. The team being lost in sauce was authentic. Round two, that trust is gone. The quirky "build in public" vibes feel fake. Nobody is happy about doo-dads replacing their beloved Arc.

It's actually easier to just assume 99% of design online is: a) a straight copy of someone more obscure b) rough mishmash of 2-4 unrelated (stolen) concepts c) AI-generated (so b. but you can blame a robot)

This is one of the first AI-focused design features integrated into a platform that actually feels relevant & useful in-context. Really clear use-cases, super simple workflow, very cool execution. Well done Framer 👏🏼

Just yesterday, I hit the ol' "hey Siri, set a timer for 5 mins" on my watch while grilling... SAW the timer counting down with my own eyeballs before walking away—and whaddya know—10 mins later, no timer ever set, and crispy food. There's no modern tool more useless than Siri.

100% — great notes for fixing the Framer marketplace, especially 7. "Review templates based on their niche". Soapbox: Framer will literally only be seen as the over-the-top, designer-y portfolio platform unless this trajectory is adjusted, not just w/ templates.
