When the business is making excess profit, exceeding targets and multiplying, the employees do not share part of the profit and most times their salary remains the same. But when the business runs at a loss for a few months, magically the employees are supposed to understand.

The longer I work in corporate, the more I realize… the people making the decisions rarely understand the work.

My coping mechanism when I'm at my lowest is checking up on people. I text people I haven't talked to in a while, not to ask for anything but to check on them, I feel somehow relevant because I know they will ask of my well-being in return at that moment. Am I weird?
