Discussed bilateral & EU cooperation as well as the state of Armenia-Azerbaijan talks. Underlined that peace and stability would also unlock the economic potential of the whole region.

On the margins of the #CoE Ministerial, I met my 🇲🇰 colleague Bujar Osmani.

Focused on the Western Balkans region and the situation after elections in #NorthMacedonia . Indispensable to respect international agreements and continue working on reforms.

The Council of Europe Council of Europe is the protective shield for #HumanRights and #democracy in Europe.

Celebrating 75 years of achievements for peace and security in Strasbourg today.

None of these are a given, we have to fight for our values every day anew.

The Georgian law “on transparency of foreign influence” is a serious obstacle on #Georgia ’s 🇬🇪 path to the 🇪🇺.

I strongly urge the authorities to engage in genuine dialogue with civil society and to withdraw the law. Georgian voices must be heard!

#Türkiye is an important player in a volatile neighborhood. Good discussion with Hakan Fidan about

➡️ the paramount importance of regional peace and stability, especially in the #MiddleEast ,
➡️ cooperation against illegal migration and
➡️ strengthening our bilateral relations.

Started my trip to 🇹🇷 with a constructive meeting with Ali Yerlikaya. Türkiye is an important partner for Austria and the EU in #security matters.

We need to strengthen our cooperation on fighting illegal #migration and combating organized #crime and #terrorism 🤝

Just spoke to Palestinian PM & FM Mustafa to reiterate our support to the PA.

➡️ I strongly condemn settlement expansion & settler violence in the West Bank
➡️ Offensive on #Rafah without protecting civilians is unacceptable

Today I welcomed Foreign Minister of #CostaRica Arnoldo Andre Tinoco to Vienna, in the run-up to the #AWS2024Vienna conference on autonomous weapons systems.

We focused on our shared priority of disarmament but also on trade affairs and regional developments. 🇦🇹🤝🇨🇷

The #UAE are Austria’s most important trading partner in the Gulf region with over 150 Austrian companies already present. Discussed with my colleague Dr. Sultan Al Jaber how to cooperate even closer in fields such as sustainability, intercultural dialogue or AI.
