Once again CEQA shows its true colors. It’s the law that swallowed California — a tool anyone with resources can use to obstruct any project they don’t like, no matter how beneficial. CEQA needs to be re-tooled to focus on climate action & sustainability, not NIMBYism.

City report offers $ solutions none of which include making building easier in LA. Bc of this, “the report misses a crucial, and largely unsubsidized, element to limit the flow of people into homelessness.” City Pols’ ignoring solutions is as heartbreaking as it is confounding.

My consistent stance is coastal CA is doomed if building like this are prohibited. CA isn't going to allow a Hausmann to demolish 70% of the city for missing middle, which is the only way missing middle can solve the crisis. We need tall buildings. sfchronicle.com/sf/article/sf-…
