Rates falling is big deal! Here’s how many U.S. mortgage borrowers would be “in the money” for a refinance at different hypothetical 30-year fixed mortgage rate levels: • 6.25% → 1.5M borrowers • 6.00% → 2.2M • 5.75% → 3.0M • 5.50% → 3.6M • 5.25% → 4.1M • 5.00% →

Housing cracking in once strong areas. Rate cuts needed along with a PAUSE in the balance sheet run-off. That should help short and long term rates.
