The problem with exempting students from the sexual health curriculum is that they still receive the curriculum… second-hand, on the playground, from their peers - instead of from a caring, safe adult. I wonder if there is a third way to approach the sex Ed program in Ontario.

The Hwdsb Summer Camps #POW group is making me think more about team planning and team teaching. This is a group of two teachers and an EA that chose to work & plan together to teach students from Gr. 2-6. 1/?

They reflected on their CORE assessment data & realized that their kids are struggling with R-controlled vowels. Now to make these words into a game, which also allows for storytelling and sentence creating. 2/?

Then they wrote open ended writing ideas on the group of desks to provide choice in writing, allow for exploration of different forms, and allow for targeted written instruction.
