He slides a menu down to Renne once she sits down. "So, what can I get for you? Or do you need a minute to decide?" Kou took out a notepad and pen.

"You got it. I'll be back in a bit." After writing her order down, Kou walked back into the kitchen, and hung the order on the wall. A few minutes later, the brunette returned. "There you go. My boss told me to take a break since they saw me take a break, so...here I am, heh ."

"Eh, mostly. I take all sorts of odd jobs around town after school." Kou sat down across the opposite side of the table drinking his own cup of coffee he brought with him.

"It's...more of a distraction, really." Kou would stare down at the reflection in his drink before taking another sip.

"Nah, we kissed indirectly that one time, so I don't mind telling you."

"You're not pressuring me. I'm telling you because I trust you."

He took a deep breath. "10 years ago, there was a disastrous earthquake that destroyed the majority of Tokyo. I happened to be caught dead in the middle of it with a friend of mine."
