Remember, they didn't cut Matt Gaetz loose because he paid a 17-year-old for sex. They cut him loose because too much evidence was coming out proving he'd paid a 17-year-old for sex.

Republican abortion bans aren't just dangerous, they are deadly. These tragedies are not going away, and they are not going to be forgotten. We will remember the women lost to abortion bans, share their stories, and fight for the rights they were denied.

Remember: in the gospels, Jesus got the most upset with those who use religion as a tool of oppression and self serving power. You don't see Jesus get upset with anyone for showing too much forgiveness, giving too much mercy, having too much generosity or loving others too much.

🗣️ Time to lead by working for workers, @housedemocrats @housegop @senategop @senatedems! Workers and families are counting on you to deliver equitable, comprehensive care policies: Paid Leave, Paid Sick Days, and Affordable Child Care. The time for action is NOW. #DearCongress

As the GOP sets about dismantling our social safety net to give deeper tax cuts to the wealthy, the memory of MLK Jr. is more important than ever. He championed workers' dignity and economic justice. We honor him by organizing and marching forward in solidarity. ✊🏽

If you’re looking for a state that’s protecting fundamental rights, feeding kids, expanding child care, establishing paid leave, and investing in our infrastructure, then come on over to Minnesota.

Without a national #PaidLeave program, working people in states across the country are struggling to care for their loved ones and put food on the table. See why your state needs paid leave: npwf.info/3Eg1dzZ

A #PaidLeave tax credit that Sen. Fischer & others would like to renew is ineffective at expanding family & medical leave benefits to workers is likely to mainly subsidize rich companies. See my New America Better Life Lab analysis of 45S so far here: newamerica.org/the-thread/vic…

Reminder today that “paid leave tax credits” do not ensure workers have pay nor leave. What they do ensure is wealthy corporations pay even less of their fair share of taxes — resources we could be investing in a paid leave program for all working families in America.

Today marks 32 years of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). While this law has protected millions of workers' livelihoods by providing unpaid, job-protected leave, the U.S. still urgently needs a PAID family and medical leave program. abetterbalance.org/32-years-after…

Both the Job Protection Act and the Caring for All Families Act have been reintroduced today. These bills would provide much needed expansions to the FMLA (unpaid leave) to give protections to those who’ve fallen through the cracks. And next we need #PaidLeaveForAll.

#FMLA turns 32 today—used 500M times—but the U.S. is still one of only 6 countries without a national paid family leave program. Workers in NC lose $914M every year due to lack of #PaidLeave. Time to demand what we deserve! #WorkersRights #PaidLeaveForAll #Unionize

32 years ago, the FMLA was a huge win for working people! It has helped over 460 million care for themselves and their families without losing their jobs. But we still have work to do—40% of workers aren’t covered, and many can’t afford unpaid leave. It’s time for paid leave for

32 years ago today Congress passed the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). This allows eligible employees up to 12 weeks for unpaid, job-protected, family or medical leave per year. Let’s break down why more still needs to be done to provide equitable Paid Leave For All.

Paid Leave is not a perk, it is a human right and an economic necessity. As we reach the 32nd anniversary of the FMLA, we must push for policies that benefit and reflect our reality today. No one should have to choose between their paycheck and their family’s well-being.

Members of Congress who give birth are expected to return to the Capitol almost immediately to vote in person, often with their newborns in tow. Congress still has no formal parental leave policy or proxy voting system. It's outdated and unjust. #PaidLeaveForAll
