Agreed. We also shouldn’t have to pay tens of thousands of dollars in student loans to have become teachers, especially at the current teacher pay rate. You can’t give us raises, but you CAN uphold your campaign promise and cancel student loan debt. C’mon President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

This was my teacher dress for today. Did it make me more or less effective as a teacher? I’ll answer that for you. More. Because I was authentically me and connected with kids on a number of the things you see here.

Been running 5Ks on my own for a while now, just for health. Ran my first official race today, & I finished 1st & set a PR! I was trailing most of the way, but took the lead with a mile left & had to sprint to finish 1st. Did many things this morning I never thought I could. 💪🏼

This weekend I placed 1st in my first official 5k & was feeling pretty good about myself. I also stabbed myself in the eye with my own thumb while changing my shirt before bed & had to go to the Dr. this morning to get it checked out…so…stay humble? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Every time I have to do my TPEP (teacher evaluation), it never ceases to amaze me what a waste of time it really is. In no other profession does one have to do so much work to prove they’re doing their job effectively to an evaluator who rarely, if ever, actually observes them.
