Our grade 6 Market Lane students arrived back from Mono Cliffs Provincial Park safe & sound - and very happy! For some, this was their first overnight trip & first time seeing a northern winter wonderland! ❄️ Many thanks to our teachers who chaperoned on the trip! @marketlaneps

Yesterday our Market Lane students had a chance to play in a basketball tournament organized by our partners at YEP (Youth Empowering Parents)! Today all of our grade 4-8 classes went to cheer on the Raptors 905 at the ACC! Many thanks to MLSE, staff & parent helpers! 🏀Such fun!

It was a week filled with beautiful music at Market Lane & Downtown Alternative School (aka DAS) with sing-alongs outdoors in the playgrounds before school, & full school concerts indoors. Many thanks to our staff, students, & families for bringing the holiday cheer! Loved it!🥰

Our Market Lane and DAS (Downtown Alternative School) students had so much fun playing in the snow ❄️ today!!! Loved seeing the creativity and collaboration as they worked together in the beautiful winter wonderland! Many thanks to caretakers for all their work shovelling too!

Last night, our Market Lane & DAS (Downtown Alternative School) communities joined together for a Craft and Games event. It was great fun for all! Many thanks to parents from both schools for co-organizing & much appreciation to our students ambassadors for helping out! Go team!

It was a super fun day at Market Lane! We hosted a junior boys basketball 🏀 tournament & welcomed 3 additional schools: Blake Street, Morse & Rose Avenue. We also hosted Scientist in the School. Many thanks to the staff coaches, families and older students for all your support!

African Heritage (Black History) Month is recognized every February at the Toronto District School Board. This year’s theme was “The Power of Us”. At Market Lane @marketlaneps and DAS the students & staff members showed great creativity and collaboration throughout the month!

Happy Autism Acceptance Day and month! At Market Lane @marketlaneps & Downtown Alternative School, we welcome very diverse learners and ask ourselves: how can we create environments where people are valued, supported, & included? Grateful for the creativity of staff & students!

Market Lane students enjoyed their trip to the AGO! They explored Indigenous artwork & Canadian artist’s perspective of Canadian landscape which inspired the mixed media art they created. Some artwork centred on local Canadian ecosystems. Many thanks to our teachers & volunteers!

Today is Administrative Professionals’ Day! We are fortunate to have Ena at DAS and Elena at Market Lane! They are hard-working, dedicated, welcoming, and an important part of our school communities! Happy Earth 🌎 Day too! Grateful to our students for their creative initiatives!
