Cleaning my files and stumbled upon some notes on the importance of content over aesthetics. My favorite teacher/designer James Victore - “Nobody cares about how it looks if what you say is dumb.”

Starting my Webflow learning journey today with the webflow crash course 101 🥳 Loving how each lesson is explained clearly and with a dash of humor by McGuire and Grimur. Tutorials at its finest 👏 #100DaysOfWebflow #100DaysOfX #webflow

Day 2/100 - Pretty stoked to be finally converting a figma doc to a #Webflow site. Still figuring out how to do the background. Thanks to Aravind Solaiappan for creating Landify! My basic hero section landify-test.webflow.io #100DaysOfWebflow #webdesign #100daysofX

Just the little things that make learning #webflow so much fun. I actually look forward to my #100daysofwebflow every morning. Thanks to the awesome work by the Webflow team 👏 #webdesign

Day 3/100 - Enjoying the absurd humor of #webflow tutorials. Finally was introduced to the types of classes - base, combo, and global. Coming from Figma, the combo class is closest to the component variant. #100DaysOfWebflow #webdesign #100daysofX

Day 4/100 - Started practicing with flex and grid in making multi column layouts. Created a features section in my test project. It ain't much but it's honest work 👩‍🌾🌱🌾 #100DaysOfWebflow #webdesign #100daysofX #webflow

Todays' adventure with #webflow university - Grimur sends an email to fix hbo max's website, McGuire summarizes flexbox as: "Something, something, parent element." Thank you, teacher. #Flexbox mysteries, resolved.

Day 5/100 - Built a responsive flexbox-based testimonial section. Learning about the layout options helps me think about web design in terms of how it's going to be built in multiple breakpoints. #100DaysOfWebflow #webdesign #webflow

If you want to learn how to learn, these two charts are where you should start. They are the result of a large meta-analysis of study techniques. You should skip the highlighting, summarizing, and rereading. Instead, practice, quiz & explain. Open paper: journals.sagepub.com/stoken/rbtfl/Z…

And if you are a teacher, you may want to spend some time with the excellent Great Teaching Toolkit Evidence Review. It lays out the state-of-the-art evidence for what works (and what doesn’t) when teaching. greatteaching.com
