Urbanponds101 Joel Ashton 🍃🌳🍃 We do #NoMowMayfor the complete back lawn then leave part of it for #NoMowSummer mowing paths to raised beds, compost corner etc. Front garden does its own thing with help from foraged seeds - see photo. 5 years ago, when we bought it, this was a sterile shingle parking area.

While in the garden I was pleaed to see so many fledgelings had hatched successfully. Blue tits (photo from previous years) Great tits, Gold finches, Green finches, Sparrows, Dunnock, Starlings, Jackdaws, Pied wagtails, Black birds, and more. It looks to be a very good year😊😊

I think there was an explosion in a Ladybird factory!😳😍 Actually can’t believe how many hundreds of them there are, currently in the longer #NoMowSummer area of my garden (which is rapidly turning into the WHOLE garden!). One of the many benefits of no pesticides/weedkiller 🐞
