If you are starting a new semester with "An Introduction to Statistical Learning" and want to pick up #tidymodels at the same time, then you are in luck✨ I have compiled (mostly complete) labs using tidymodels for all of you to use and teach with emilhvitfeldt.github.io/ISLR-tidymodel… #rstats

Ppl are on twitter for many reasons. I'm here to chew bubblegum & teach scientific inference. And I'm all out of gum. Engage yourself with 20+ hours of free lectures on causal inference and Bayesian data analysis. This isn't an ordinary statistics course. github.com/rmcelreath/sta…

@courtneybhilton Cody Moser et al find that infant-directed speech and song across cultures differs consistently from adult-directed speech and song, and listeners can tell the difference. From sam doesn't use this site anymore 🦋 The Music Lab buff.ly/3aJEONk

Got to play around with the European ESCO job classification dataset esco.ec.europa.eu (based on the international ISCO) and it makes for a nice visualisation of the nested categories of occupations and finally provided an excuse to make a dendrogram

Spannend: Karten von Goodbye in der wochentaz zeigen, wo in Deutschland Windräder stehen dürften, wenn überall die aktuellen Abstandsregeln von Bayern (links) bzw. Niedersachsen (rechts) gelten würden. (1/3)

I can't believe no-one has used the Rstudio Viewer pane to show bowling animations before based off the p-value in a t-test. Soon in base #rstats?

If there's one supremely useful function I can't live without anymore, it's clean_names() from {janitor}. Ain't nobody got time for using pesky `` just to pick a badly named column. What's your function that you use every time? #rstats

webR v0.1.0 has just been released! I'm super excited to see what people create by using webR in their own projects 😃. The docs are at docs.r-wasm.org and I've written an introductory blog post talking more about the kind of things webR can do at tidyverse.org/blog/2023/03/w….
