americanair fly United instead. They give goodwill gestures to their customers. American literally is telling me to kick rocks after sending my gf to a foreign country all alone over night. There’s 100 better airlines to fly

I got home this morning after traveling with americanair for 12hrs. We had a 2 hour delay before boarding…they “cleaning” the plane. We sat on the plane for 2 more hours…they were “fixing a mechanical issue that would only take a few minutes” We then were told to deplane.

We were told that they’d give us food vouchers even though most of the places were closed. They gave us a $12.00 voucher. The ladies at the counter weren’t accommodating AT ALL. They were so rude and screaming at us…and we were not screaming at them although we were frustrated.

After we finally boarded again, we sat there 30 more minutes because it was began to storm. Why not just give hotel vouchers so that the storm could pass and we’d be safe. Nah nah nah we just sat there. Got in the air, and of course if felt like a Six Flags Ride!

americanair I don’t want to be “that guy…” the complaining passenger. I asked once about 30 minutes into the flight. You’d think this flight was going to/from Alaska given the number of coats, hoodies and sweaters being worn. Not from 88 degree NYC to 110 Las Vegas.
