My internship at Senedd Research, as part of the UK Research and Innovation Policy Internship Scheme, was the best thing I did during my PhD. I was able to develop my skills in an entirely new area, learning from an amazing, talented bunch of people - and spend a sunny summer in Cardiff Bay!

This is a very big deal for women’s health. We should be shouting it from the rooftops tops, leading with it across all media. Imagine, generations of young women for whom this cancer is a thing of the past.

Never thought I would see the day when Tony Fauci, a lifelong public servant who built NIAID into the global standard for supporting infectious disease research under both parties' rule, would require a preemptive pardon to protect him from political persecution. Yet here we are.

When scientists estimated 300-400K deaths in Gaza, we were told it was unbelievable & too high. Now, US President Trump has several times estimated a similar number of lives lost, and barely a reaction from the world at the scale of death. Silence. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

The biggest modern con is politicians convincing people that their lives are harder because of immigrants. Instead of the increasing number of billionaires & wealth concentration at the top. Politics too often about protecting the billionaires instead of normal people.

Immigration again being demonised as the underlying problem of Britain today. What about all the benefits that immigration brings? Immigrants support the NHS, social care, higher education, agriculture & so many other industries. Inequality is the heart of the problem.
