Partnerships are the bedrock of successful sustainable development for SIDS 🤝 The ‘Partnership for Action’ launched today at The ABAS by OECD ➡️ Better Policies for Better Lives & AOSIS. 🇳🇿Development Counsellor Paul Wallis was a member of the Task Force behind the much-needed initiative for #SIDS.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala .OECD Development Secretary-General Mathias Cormann stresses how #Aid4Trade has succeeded in enabling developing economies, and in particular least-developed countries, to use trade as a means of fostering economic growth, sustainable development and poverty reduction.

Despite being a key #Aid4Trade focus, support for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) is lagging. Aid for Trade to LDCs rose by 10% in 2022 to 28% of total flows but remain insufficient to meet the goal of doubling aid from 2018 levels by 2031. 👉 doi.org/10.1787/7a4e35… | WTO
