Florida's 34-point margin of victory matches John Calipari's largest loss in his coaching career, per ESPN Research. He lost by 34 as Kentucky's coach in the 2018 season-opening loss to Duke.

How about this stat from ESPN Research: Florida has now scored 90-plus points in six straight games against ranked opponents, the third-longest streak in a single season in AP poll history. The only teams with longer streaks are UNLV and Loyola Marymount, both in 1989-90.

Fun fact: TWO teams did it in 1978-79. Many remember Larry Bird and Indiana State, far fewer remember Alcorn State. The Braves won the SWAC Tournament and went to the NIT, where they would win a game before losing to Bob Knight and Indiana.

Good look by Sweeney to show what a Tuesday/Wednesday would look like this year with a 76-team tournament. Total flotsam. None of those teams are worthy of being in the NCAAT, they're all high-majors and all the matchups are less inspiring than three-day-old leftovers.

I will never stop supporting or believing in the dream of mid major success. I believe it is good, fun basketball. All 31 leagues have something to offer someone who wants to watch.

If the only way you can find joy in college basketball is winning a national title, you have no business watching the sport. Gonzaga has had like 4 (maybe 5) teams actually capable of winning a championship in their 30 year run. Plenty of joy has still been had in all 30.

Via ESPN Research/Saige Smith: Illinois' Keaton Wagler and David Mirkovic are the first pair of freshman teammates to each have a double-double in the same NCAA tournament game since freshmen became fully eligible in 1972-73. WOW.
