Are you interested in #insect #museomics 🧬🏫 & #DungBeetles🪲? In a new paper by Sergei Tarasov 🇺🇦 group & co., we used a cost-effective method combination that allowed the phylogenetic placement of rare, enigmatic & potentially extinct species! Check it out! Luomus University of Helsinki

#ESA2023 Come to watch a very cool talk about #DungBeetles by Giulio Montanaro. This Sunday, At 8:24 AM - 8:36 AM :)

Last day at #EntSoc23 annual meeting 🇺🇸 Had incredible experiences and great time with Giulio Montanaro and many other colleagues. I want to express my gratitude to my PI Sergei Tarasov 🇺🇦 (Luomus) for giving me another great opportunity to grow and develop professionally.

It was great to join the Entomological Society of America annual meeting, presenting my work on Tanzanian dung beetles and most of all getting to know so many cool and passionate people. Thanks to Luomus colleagues Sergei Tarasov 🇺🇦 for this opportunity and to Federica Losacco for the company there!!

No need to write traditional species descriptions! Use ontologies and make them computable! Happy to share our latest preprint: preprints.arphahub.com/article/121727/ Led by Giulio Montanaro, with Jim Balhoff @[email protected] @jennifergiro @JGEntiminae & others. Say hi to Scarabaeus sakalava, the first animal species described entirely using semantic languages! In our most recent paper, Sergei Tarasov 🇺🇦 and I implemented #Phenoscript to describe this new Malagasy #dungbeetle from scratch. Check it out at bdj.pensoft.net/article/134364/
