Much fewer immigrants means much less money for public services, a crisis especially in social care, and a knock-on effect of longer NHS waiting lists.

Maybe this is all part of the genius plan, but I just cant see the win.

The debates in the run-up to #GeneralElection could be very unsettling for refugees. The language could get uglier, divisive, and racist. I ask leaders of all political parties to mind the language and not stigmatise/scapegoat already traumatised people seeking sanctuary.

V often people saying students shouldn’t be included in migration stats come from a good place. That’s why I’m pushing on this.

We need objective stats on migration. Most visas are temporary, ONS counts anyone coming here for 12 months or more.
Why exclude students? Really. Why.

Matthew opposes genocide and supports BDS Martin Baccardax ONS also publishes statistics on long-term immigration, how many gain citizenship & indefinite leave to remain, etc. if those stats seem more relevant to you, you are free to use them.

Almost all visas are time limited. Nearly all immigrants are “temporary” at first.
