Congrats to the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce and Kristen Sharp on the ribbon cutting of your new offices today! Good seeing Congressman Juan Ciscomani and hearing him reminisce on his Chamber days. Many fellow Chamber execs from the region attended. It was a party!
WE PACKED THE HOUSE! If you weren’t one of the hundreds of Tucsonans who joined the Tucson Metro Chamber and Arizona Athletics staff and coaches to kickoff the upcoming season, where were you?! Thanks to Erika Barnes, Jedd Fisch and so many more for coming through. And Wilbur!
Welcomed Jennings Imel from the U.S. Chamber in Tucson today. Joined by members of our Public Policy Council, we discussed topics affecting Tucson businesses, including organized retail theft, fentanyl epidemic, workforce development, housing, the unhoused, infrastructure and more.
When Jennings Imel from the U.S. Chamber was with us earlier this week, he explained their bipartisan slate of endorsements from the last cycle as being on behalf of “pro-governing” candidates. The phrasing stuck with me since. That bar is both an indictment, and a path forward…
I enjoyed hearing from 5 incredible startups at the University of Arizona Center for Innovation Startup Showcase! Our ecosystem has made such strides recently. These founders also expressed remaining challenges including access to bigger capital, local and national regulatory environment, and infrastructure
The boss was just named a Leader of the Year in public policy by the AZ Capitol Times (State Affairs Arizona)! Congrats Michael Guymon!
Your Tucson Metro Chamber team is now complete! The Old Pueblo is facing new, big city challenges, and we’ve re-organized the Chamber to meet these demands in the bold ways required. Click below to see CEO Michael Guymon and I share more. lnkd.in/gkJSa6AX
Always good to see fellow #FlinnBrown Fellows at events around the state. At Arizona Chamber Executives this week, caught up with John Winchester from Tucson, and met Elaine Kessler from Gilbert for the first time. We’re also all Arizona State University Sun Devils to some degree!
A beautiful night with a beautiful lady celebrating Tucson’s outstanding small businesses and charitable nonprofits at the Tucson Metro Chamber Copper Cactus Awards! Congrats to all finalists and winners.
